The historic core of Bardejov is among the best-preserved medieval town complexes in Slovakia and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000. The rectangular Town Hall Square is lined with colourful burgher houses, the gothic town hall and the monumental Basilica of St. Giles. A walk through the streets along the preserved town walls will transport you back to the days of the free royal town.
