Kostol Všetkých svätých (Tvrdošín)
Tvrdošín
The wooden Gothic Church of All Saints, dating from the second half of the 15th century, is the oldest surviving building in Tvrdošín and stands in the cemetery above the town. In 2008, together with other wooden churches of the Carpathian arc, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and also holds a Europa Nostra award. Its pride is a coffered wooden ceiling painted with a starry sky and angels, and a Baroque altar depicting All Saints. It's one of the most valuable monuments of Orava and a great trip destination from accommodation around Tvrdošín.
