Holašovice
Holašovice
Holašovice is a uniquely preserved South Bohemian village whose gable farmsteads represent so-called peasant (folk) Baroque architecture. Around an elongated village green with a pond and chapel stands an ensemble of white and colorfully decorated farmsteads from the 18th and 19th centuries, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its authenticity. It's a living showcase of rural architecture rarely preserved elsewhere. It lies near České Budějovice, making it easy to combine with accommodation and excursions in the area.
