Jaskyňa Domica
Kečovo
Domica is the largest and one of the most beautiful caves in the Slovak Karst, inscribed on the UNESCO list as part of the Caves of Aggtelek Karst and Slovak Karst. Visitors are enchanted by rich dripstone decorations, shield stalactites and the chance to take a boat ride on the underground river Styx. The cave was already inhabited in the Neolithic period by people of the Bükk culture. Together with Hungary's Baradla Cave it forms one of Europe's most significant karst systems and is an appealing destination for guests staying nearby.
