Slavín

Slavín is a solemn memorial and military cemetery dedicated to soldiers who fell liberating Bratislava. It is dominated by a tall obelisk topped with a soldier's statue and a spacious terrace offering one of the finest views over the city and the Danube. It sits on an elevated spot above the Old Town in a quiet villa district, reached by a pleasant walk. Thanks to its location, it makes a rewarding stop while exploring the centre and staying in the surrounding area.
