Terchová

The seven-and-a-half-metre stainless-steel statue of Juraj Jánošík by sculptor Ján Kulich has guarded the entrance to Vrátna Valley from a hill above Terchová since 1988. The monument offers a beautiful view of the village of Terchová and the ridges of the Krivánska Malá Fatra. It's a popular destination for an easy walk and has become a symbol of the whole region. Terchová is an ideal base for accommodation, with plenty of trips nearby.
