Zamek Chojnik
Jelenia Góra (Sobieszów)
The ruins of a Gothic castle from the late 13th century stand on a steep rocky mountain high above the valley, right within the Karkonosze National Park. Climb the lookout tower for a panorama of the Jelenia Góra Basin and the main Krkonoše/Karkonosze ridge, and wander through courtyards and castle walls steeped in legend. The castle is one of the region's best-known excursion destinations, and thanks to its location above Jelenia Góra it's ideal for a half-day trip from accommodation in the area.
