Zamek Dunajec w Niedzicy
Niedzica
Dunajec Castle, also known as Niedzica Castle, rises on a rocky bluff above the Czorsztyn reservoir on the edge of the Pieniny Mountains. The medieval 14th-century castle is one of the most beautifully situated in Poland, offering wonderful views of the lake and of the ruins of Czorsztyn Castle on the opposite shore. Inside is a museum with period interiors, and the castle is also steeped in mysterious legends. It lies right on the Slovak border, making it a popular trip from accommodation in Spiš and Podhale.
