Zelené pleso, also known as the Kežmarské tarn, is one of the most beautiful and photogenic lakes in the High Tatras thanks to its distinctive greenish water. Above the tarn rise the steep walls of Jastrabá veža and Malý Kežmarský štít, creating a dramatic backdrop. Right on the shore stands the year-round Chata pri Zelenom plese hut (Brnčalka), a popular stop for hikers. An easy hike from Biela voda makes the tarn a great full-day trip from accommodation near Tatranská Lomnica.
