Antická Gerulata Rusovce

Ancient Gerulata in Rusovce is the archaeological site of a former Roman military camp that guarded the northern frontier of the Roman Empire. It is part of the transnational UNESCO World Heritage site Frontiers of the Roman Empire – The Danube Limes. In the open-air museum you can see original masonry, tombstones and altar stones, as well as numerous archaeological finds from everyday life. It is a fascinating trip into antiquity on the southern edge of Bratislava, easily accessible from the centre and nearby accommodation.
