Bazylika Mariacka (Gdańsk)
Gdańsk
St Mary's Basilica is the largest brick church in the world, with room inside for tens of thousands of people. The interior features an astronomical clock, a stone Pietà and a monumental Gothic triple nave. Anyone who climbs the more than four hundred steps to the tower is rewarded with a panoramic view over the rooftops of old Gdańsk and the Motława River. The church stands right in the historic centre, making it easy to combine with a stroll along the Long Market.
