Zamek w Malborku

Malbork

Malbork is the largest brick castle in the world and the former main seat of the Grand Masters of the Teutonic Order, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vast complex of the High, Middle and Outer Castle, with its walls and courtyards above the Nogat River, is a showcase of medieval fortification art. Visitors can walk through grand halls, chapels and collections of weapons and amber. The town of Malbork is easily reached from Gdańsk and makes a rewarding full-day trip from nearby accommodation.
