Jezioro Śniardwy

Mikołajki

Lake Śniardwy covers almost 114 km², making it Poland's largest lake and the centrepiece of the Masurian Lake District. Its vast, in places shallow, waters dotted with islands are a favourite with sailors and water-sports enthusiasts. The lake is linked by channels to other Masurian lakes, forming part of an extensive navigable network. Harbour towns such as Mikołajki nearby offer plentiful waterfront accommodation.
