Morskie Oko
Zakopane
Morskie Oko is one of the largest and most beautiful lakes in the Polish Tatras, situated at an altitude of around 1,395 m. A comfortable paved trail leads to the shore from Palenica Białczańska, which can be walked on foot or partly covered by horse-drawn carriage. Massive peaks, including the Rysy massif, rise above the surface, reflected in the exceptionally clear water. Zakopane and the surrounding villages are an ideal base for accommodation and trips throughout the Tatra region.
