Opactwo Benedyktynów w Tyńcu

Kraków

The Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec is the oldest monastery in Poland, picturesquely perched on a limestone crag above a bend in the Vistula River. The complex, with a Romanesque-Baroque church, courtyards and a museum, offers a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful river views. Monks still live here today, maintaining centuries-old traditions including their own products. Tyniec lies on the edge of Kraków, making it an easy trip from both urban and countryside accommodation.
