Popradské pleso

Popradské pleso is one of the most visited Tatra tarns, nestled in coniferous forest beneath towering peaks. From its shore, trails lead to the Symbolic Cemetery honouring victims of the mountains, as well as to more demanding ascents of Rysy and Kôprovský štít. The calm surface of the lake mirrors the surrounding peaks, and a well-known mountain hut with refreshments stands by the shore. For hiking enthusiasts it's a great starting point and a rewarding tip from accommodation around Štrbské Pleso.
