The Priessnitz Health Spa spreads across a wooded slope above the town of Jeseník and is the birthplace of modern hydrotherapy. It was founded by Vincenz Priessnitz, who was the first in the world to systematically treat patients with cold water, fresh mountain air, and exercise. The grounds feature elegant sanatoriums, landscaped promenades, gazebos, and a network of walking paths dotted with springs scattered through the surrounding forests. It's a sought-after place to relax and a starting point for trips to the Rychleby Mountains and the Zlatý Chlum lookout tower.
