Rysy

Rysy is the dream destination for many hikers, as it's the highest Tatra peak accessible via a marked trail without a mountain guide. The summit lies right on the Slovak-Polish border and offers a remarkable panoramic view of dozens of peaks and tarns on both sides of the Tatras. The Slovak route leads from Popradské pleso via the Chata pod Rysmi hut and is one of the most demanding yet most rewarding ascents. For experienced hikers it's the ultimate experience from accommodation in the Štrbské Pleso area.
