Pec pod Sněžkou
At 1,603 m, Sněžka is the highest mountain in the Czech Republic and lies right on the Czech-Polish border in the Krkonoše Mountains. The summit can be reached on foot via ridge trails or comfortably by cable car from Pec pod Sněžkou. On clear days, far-reaching views open up on both sides of the mountains, as well as of the baroque Chapel of St. Lawrence. A chalet or apartment in Pec pod Sněžkou is an ideal base for hiking and skiing in the area.
