Śnieżne Kotły
Szklarska Poręba
Śnieżne Kotły are two massive glacial cirques — the Small and the Great — separated by a rocky ridge on the main crest of the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains). Their steep walls rise around a hundred metres, and in summer rare alpine and arctic flora blooms here. The ridge trail offers one of the finest views in the entire range, and a distinctive former weather station building stands above the cirques. The spot is a rewarding destination for more demanding hikes from both Szklarska Poręba and the Czech side.
