Kopalnia soli Bochnia

Bochnia

Bochnia Salt Mine is the oldest operating salt mine in Poland and, together with Wieliczka, is listed by UNESCO. Visitors descend underground to find carved chambers, chapels, a salt lake and even an underground slide and a mine train. Thanks to the microclimate of the salt corridors, the mine also serves health and relaxation stays. It lies a short distance east of Kraków, making it a convenient full-day trip from accommodation in the region.
