Starhrad (Starý hrad)
Nezbudská Lúčka
Starhrad, also called Starý hrad (Old Castle), is a ruined medieval watch-castle perched on a limestone crag high above the Domašín meander of the Váh river. Built in the 13th century, it once guarded the old road through the Váh valley, and today a marked hiking trail leads to it from Nezbudská Lúčka. The reward for the climb is a unique view of the winding Váh, the opposite Strečno Castle and the Malá Fatra massif. This freely accessible ruin is a great tip for a half-day trip from accommodation nearby.
