Velké Losiny chateau ranks among Moravia's most beautiful Renaissance seats, with charming arcaded courtyards and richly furnished interiors of the Žerotín family. It gained its greatest notoriety, however, from the infamous witch trials of the late 17th century, which claimed dozens of lives and inspired both a novel and the famous film Kladivo na čarodějnice (Witchhammer). The tour offers historic halls, a picture gallery, an armory, and an extensive chateau park. Together with the nearby handmade paper mill, it makes Velké Losiny a rewarding destination for a full-day excursion.
