Rynek Wielki v Zamości
Zamość
Zamość is a unique Renaissance town designed as an 'ideal city' after Italian models and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Its Rynek Wielki (Great Market Square) is lined with colourful arcaded burgher houses and dominated by an ornate town hall with a fan-shaped staircase. Its regular layout and preserved fortifications make it a jewel of eastern Poland. It's nicknamed the Padua of the North and is a wonderful destination for exploring the region.
