Cerkiew św. Michała Archanioła w Smolniku

The wooden Church of St Michael the Archangel in Smolnik, built in 1791, is a gem of Boyko sacral architecture. Owing to its exceptional value, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013 as part of the wooden churches of the Polish and Ukrainian Carpathian region. The simple three-part log structure with a shingled roof stands on a hill above the San valley. It's a popular stop on the Wooden Architecture Trail and a symbol of the region's multicultural past.
