Dreveník

Spišské Podhradie

The Dreveník National Nature Reserve is the largest travertine area in Slovakia, resembling a table mountain with steep slopes and a flat top. Trails wind among bizarre rock formations, ravines and caves, offering beautiful views of Spišský Castle and the surrounding countryside. Part of the area is the romantic Kamenný raj locality, a labyrinth of travertine blocks. It lies between Spišské Podhradie and Žehra in the heart of the UNESCO heritage area and is ideal for a full day of exploring.
