The wooden Church of St. Francis of Assisi in Hervartov is the oldest and best-preserved wooden church in Slovakia, built from red spruce at the end of the 15th century. Since 2008 it has been inscribed on the UNESCO list as part of the wooden churches of the Carpathian arc. Inside are precious gothic panel paintings and centuries-old wall scenes.
