Krásna Hôrka is one of the best-preserved castles in Slovakia, standing on a conical limestone crag above Krásnohorské Podhradie. For centuries it belonged to the noble Andrássy family and today it is a national cultural monument with rich collections. From the castle walls there is a magnificent view over the surrounding Gemer landscape. Its location in the heart of the region makes it an ideal base for a stay in the area and for exploring the Slovak Karst.
