Ľubovniansky hrad
Stará Ľubovňa
Ľubovňa Castle rises on a rocky cliff above the town of Stará Ľubovňa and once guarded an important trade route to Poland. Founded in the early 14th century, its museum today displays exhibitions on the castle's history, the Polish crown jewels, and noble living. Below the castle spreads an open-air museum of folk architecture with log houses and a wooden church. Thanks to its location in northern Spiš, it is a great destination for families and a base for trips to the Pieniny mountains and the Poprad river.
