Jeskyně Na Pomezí

The Na Pomezí Caves are karst caves with dripstone decoration, lying on a wooded slope along the road connecting Lipová-lázně with the village of Vápenná. They lie in the picturesque setting of the Jeseníky Mountains, where wooded terrain alternates with rocky stretches, and the approach to the entrance already has its own charm.

Since 1965 the caves have been declared a national natural monument. This level of protection underscores their scientific value — the underground spaces and their decoration formed over a long period and today rank among the most valuable things a visitor can see underground in the area.

During the tour a guide will lead you through corridors where the dripstone decoration stands out: sinter formations, curtains and stalactites that emerge beautifully from the dark under artificial lighting. The constant, cooler underground temperature is especially pleasant on hot summer days, so it's worth packing something warmer to wear.

The Na Pomezí Caves are an excellent stop when exploring the Jeseníky Mountains and combine naturally with hikes over the surrounding hills or visits to other places in the region.
