Ruiny klasztoru karmelitów bosych w Zagórzu
Zagórz
The ruins of the fortified Carmelite monastery in Zagórz rise on a rocky hill in a bend of the Osława River. The Baroque monastery-fortress from the early 18th century also served as a shelter for war invalids and, after a fire, was left in picturesque ruin. The complex, with its defensive walls, tower and viewpoint, is among the most interesting monuments of southeastern Poland. Zagórz near Sanok is a rewarding day-trip destination and a convenient stop on the way to the Bieszczady.
