Klínovec
Jáchymov
At 1,244 meters, Klínovec is the highest peak of the Ore Mountains and a major year-round tourist destination. At the summit stands a restored stone lookout tower offering, on clear days, sweeping views of both Czech and German mountain ranges. In winter, Klínovec's slopes become the Ore Mountains' largest ski area, with modern lifts and runs; in summer, they attract cyclists and hikers. The proximity of the historic mining town of Jáchymov makes the area an interesting year-round holiday base.
