Náměstí Přemysla Otakara II. (České Budějovice)

České Budějovice

Přemysl Otakar II Square in České Budějovice is one of the largest regular square plazas in Central Europe, surrounded by Renaissance and Baroque burgher houses with arcades. Its center is dominated by the massive Baroque Samson Fountain, while the town hall with its tower and the Black Tower, offering views over the city, stand at the edge. The lively historic core with restaurants and the legend of the "wandering stone" is the heart of South Bohemia's capital. The city is an excellent base for trips to Hluboká and Český Krumlov castles.
