Pole Bitwy pod Grunwaldem
Stębark
The Grunwald Battlefield is a memorial site where, in 1410, the Polish-Lithuanian forces defeated the Teutonic Order in one of the largest battles of medieval Europe. The vast meadow today features a stone monument, tall banner-topped masts, and a relief map of the troop deployment. The battle museum showcases archaeological finds, period weapons and replica banners, and the whole site is listed as a Polish Historic Monument. The place comes alive especially during grand battle re-enactments and makes a rewarding trip from accommodation in the southwestern part of the region.
