Prielom Dunajca

The Dunajec Gorge is a dramatic canyon carved by the Dunajec River through the limestone cliffs of the Pieniny mountains on the Slovak-Polish border. It ranks among the most beautiful river canyons in this part of Europe and is one of the best-known natural attractions of the northern Spiš and Zamagurie regions.

Over millennia the river has cut a deep, winding gorge between steep rock walls that in places plunge straight down to the water's surface.
