Sivec (vrch)

Sivec is a prominent hill rising to 780.8 metres in the Čierna hora range, part of the Slovak Ore Mountains. It towers above the valley of the Hornád river and the Ružín settlement near the village of Malá Lodina, roughly fourteen kilometres northwest of Košice. Thanks to its position above the river and reservoir, it offers one of the most beautiful spots close to the city.

For hikers, Sivec's main draw is its views. From the summit and its rocky sections you get a view down into the deep Hornád valley, over the Ružín reservoir, and across the forested hills of Čierna hora.
