Staroměstský orloj

The Prague Astronomical Clock is a unique medieval astronomical device mounted on the tower of the Old Town Hall, in operation since 1410. Every hour, a procession of the twelve apostles appears in its little windows, accompanied by moving figures and the ringing of a bell. The dial shows the position of the Sun, the Moon, and the zodiac signs, and it's one of the oldest astronomical clocks still working in the world. It stands right on Old Town Square in the heart of the historic center, a rewarding destination for trips from surrounding accommodation.
