The Podhájska thermal pool complex in the Nitra region has been operating since 1973 and is one of the most visited in Slovakia. It covers an area of about 12 hectares with several outdoor pools and an indoor wellness centre. The geothermal water is known for its high mineral content, reminiscent of the composition of Dead Sea water.
