Zámek Bruntál

Bruntál chateau is among the most significant monuments of Silesia and stands out for its unusual round layout with a triangular arcaded courtyard. What began as a Gothic fortress grew into a splendid Renaissance and later Baroque seat with richly furnished interiors, a picture gallery, a library, and a weapons collection. Today it houses a museum showcasing the nature and history of the entire Jeseníky region. The chateau stands right in town, which serves as a convenient gateway for excursions throughout the foothills.
