The Castle of the Warmian Bishops in Lidzbark Warmiński is considered one of the most valuable Gothic buildings in Poland. It has survived almost intact, including unique Gothic cloisters in the courtyard and richly decorated vaults. Today it houses a branch of the Warmia-Masuria Museum with valuable art collections. The massive brick fortress is a rewarding destination for a full-day trip and a great addition to a stay in the northern part of the region.
