Zoborský kláštor
Nitra
Zobor Monastery is one of the oldest known monasteries in Slovakia, with roots going back to the 9th century. The ruins of the Baroque Camaldolese monastery of St Joseph have survived, together with a unique stone aqueduct that once carried water from St Svorad's spring for the monks. This peaceful nook in the forests above Nitra is sought out by pilgrims and history lovers alike. The site is easily accessible from Nitra and pairs well with a hike up Zobor.
