Dóm svätej Alžbety
Košice
St. Elizabeth's Cathedral is the largest church in Slovakia and the easternmost gothic cathedral in Europe, built between 1378 and 1508. Visitors are awed by the monumental main façade, the precious late-gothic winged altar of St. Elizabeth, the royal oratory and the crypt of Francis II Rákóczi. You can also climb the north tower for a view over the city's rooftops and surrounding hills. The cathedral forms the heart of the pedestrian zone and is an ideal starting point for exploring Košice and its surroundings from comfortable accommodation in the centre.
