Hrad Loket

Loket Castle is among the best-preserved medieval castles in Bohemia, rising on a granite spur almost entirely encircled by the Ohře River. Visitors can view a Romanesque rotunda, Gothic palaces with frescoes, a porcelain exhibition, and the well-known display of torture instruments with mannequins. The picturesque town beneath the castle, with its stone bridge, completes the romantic atmosphere that has earned Loket the nickname "Czech Rothenburg." Its location close to Karlovy Vary makes it an ideal starting point for trips around the whole Karlovy Vary region.
