Lysá hora

Ostravice

At 1,323 metres, Lysá hora is the highest peak of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids and one of the most popular hiking destinations in the whole region. On the bare summit stand a TV transmitter and a weather station, and on clear days the peak offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Several marked trails lead to the top from Ostravice, Malenovice or Krásná, making the climb a popular year-round experience. The nearby villages beneath the mountain are an ideal base for hiking and winter cross-country skiing.
