Mikulov
Mikulov is a picturesque historic town in southern Moravia, dominated by a Baroque château perched on a rocky crag above the town square. The château houses a museum with a wine-making exhibition, including a giant historic barrel, while narrow streets wind past burgher houses and the former Jewish quarter. Above the town rises Svatý kopeček (Holy Hill) with its Way of the Cross and views over Pálava and the vineyards. Accommodation in Mikulov is a great starting point for exploring the wine region and the Lednice-Valtice Area.
