Vila Tugendhat

Villa Tugendhat is a world-famous work by architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and one of the most significant buildings of functionalism worldwide. Built in the late 1920s, it astonished with its open space, glass walls and luxurious materials such as an onyx wall and tropical wood. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001 and is open to visitors with guided tours. It's located in Brno, an excellent base for discovering the architecture and landmarks of southern Moravia.
