Státní zámek Vranov nad Dyjí
Vranov nad Dyjí
The state chateau of Vranov nad Dyjí is one of Moravia's finest baroque residences, rising dramatically from a rocky outcrop above the Dyje River. The tour's centrepiece is the monumental elliptical Ancestral Hall with statues and frescoes, complemented by richly furnished salons and the chateau chapel. A picturesque small town surrounds the chateau on the edge of Podyjí National Park, offering hiking and water activities on the Vranov reservoir. It's an excellent base for exploring the Vranovsko region and the wine country around Znojmo.
