Znojmo a Rotunda svaté Kateřiny
Znojmo
Znojmo is a picturesque royal town above the canyon of the Dyje River, surrounded by vineyards on the edge of Podyjí National Park. Its jewel is the Romanesque Rotunda of St. Catherine, with unique frescoes of Přemyslid princes dating from 1134, among the most valuable wall paintings of their kind in Europe. The historic centre is complemented by extensive medieval underground passages, the town hall tower and lively winemaking traditions. The town is an ideal base for exploring Podyjí, Vranovsko and the vineyards of Znojmo.
