Radhošť

Radhošť (Radhošč in the Moravian dialect) is a mountain in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids, rising at the end of the prominent Pustevny ridge. It lies about 3 km southwest of Trojanovice and 6 km northeast of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. At 1,129 m above sea level, it ranks among the seven highest peaks of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids and is also their westernmost peak over 1,000 metres.

Radhošť is one of the best-known and most-visited peaks in the entire range. Its position at the end of the Pustevny ridge makes it a natural draw for hikers coming for the views and ridge walking. The trail connecting the summit with the Pustevny saddle is one of the most popular routes in the Beskids and is manageable even for less experienced hikers and families with children.

What can you experience here? Above all, the climb itself and the panorama of the Beskid ridges, which from this height opens out over a wide surrounding area. Radhošť holds a special place in the region as a distinctive landscape landmark, tied to rich local tradition. Thanks to its proximity to Pustevny and Trojanovice, the summit is easily accessible from several directions, so you can tailor the route to your own strength and time.

Its location between Trojanovice, Prostřední Bečva and Rožnov pod Radhoštěm makes Radhošť an ideal destination for a day trip as well as part of a longer trek through the Beskids. If you want to combine the climb with a visit to nearby Pustevny and its wooden buildings, it's worth planning a stay in the foothills – giving you enough time to enjoy the ridge hikes, the views and the peaceful atmosphere of this corner of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids without unnecessary hurry.
